Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actor who is known for her lead roles in a variety of television shows and also for her powerful performance in films. The audience for her work is both Canadian and American TV. Emily began acting at 12 when she was visiting her sister Katie on one of Katie's films. After discovering her enthusiasm in the world of acting she enrolled herself in acting classes and started auditioning. After some commercials, which were successful, she was soon cast in the Canadian Kids' Horror TV series Are You afraid to be in the Dark? It was the only scene that she didn't speak. Her debut break came at the age of 15, when she got a role on the series of the WB called Glory Days as a regular. Emily's talent was noticed by Greg Berlanti after the series was cancelled after just nine episodes. The show's creator cast Emily in Everwood the new television show. Emily was also a dancer, as well as a photographer. Teen once named her among the best actors under the age of twenty. The Maxim's Hot 100 for 2014 listed her as top 51.
